Theater, Film and Television 

Theatrical art, which they call "the father of arts", dates back to 500 BC. This human art par excellence accompanied all stages of human development, interacted with the most momentous events in history, and witnessed impeccable world transformations on political, social, philosophical, artistic, and aesthetic capacities. Like other arts, its internal structure interlaces between its theories and practical applications. From here onwards, and with this research site specialized in the arts, we strive to keep pace with the research movement in Theater and open horizons for this movement with distinguished research and academic work that adds to the scientific research system in Fine Arts, as an added value to the research achievements that we seek to achieve in other arts. What distinguishes theater from other forms of arts and what gives the process of scientific research in it a multiplied importance is that it is the last living expressive art that revolves solely around the actor and audience without media or walls between them, especially after technology has invaded all aspects of our life, creatively, artistically and aesthetically. Scientific research in theater becomes today, more than ever before, an academic and cultural need that contributes to the completion of scientific research's image in the fields of Fine Arts in Lebanon and the Arab world. 

المسرح، السينما والتلفزيون

الفن المسرحي الذي يسمونه "أبو الفنون" تعود بداياته الى 500 سنة قبل الميلاد، رافق هذا الفن الإنساني بامتياز كل مراحل تطور البشرية وتفاعل مع أهم أحداث التاريخ والتحولات الكبيرة التي شهدها العالم على الصعد السياسية والاجتماعية والفلسفية والفنية والجمالية. وكغيره من الفنون تتكامل بنيته الداخلية من خلال التوازن بين النظريات والتطبيقات العملية لها، من هنا، ومن خلال هذا الموقع البحثي المتخصص بالفنون، نسعى إلى مواكبة الحركة البحثية في مجال المسرح وفتح الآفاق أمام رفد هذه الحركة بأعمال بحثية وأكاديمية متميزة تضيف إلى منظومة البحث العلمي في الفنون الجميلة قيمة مضافة تضاف إلى الانجازات البحثية التي نسعى إلى بلوغها في الفنون الأخرى. إن ما يميز المسرح عن غيره من أنواع الفنون وما يمنح عملية البحث العلمي فيه أهمية مضاعفة، هو كونه آخر الفنون التعبيرية الحيّة التي تتمحور حول الإنسان الممثل والإنسان المُشاهد من دون وسائط أو جدران بينهما، خصوصاً بعد اجتياح التكنولوجيا لكافة مظاهر حياتنا ومنها الابداعية والفنية والجمالية. إنّ البحث العلمي في مجال المسرح يصبح اليوم أكثر من أي وقت مضى حاجة أكاديمية ثقافية حضارية تسهم في اكتمال صورة البحث العلمي في مجالات الفنون الجميلة في لبنان والعالم العربي.
